Mese Muenchen India partners with BIAL for Air Cargo India
Messe Muenchen India Mese Muenchen India has partnered with Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL)—operator of Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (BLR Airport) —for the ninth edition of Air Cargo India, an annual international air cargo exhibition and networking conference.
The event is scheduled to be held at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai from 22 to 24 February 2022.
The exhibition will be offering knowledgeable conferences and panel discussions on the latest topics concerning the air cargo industry, along with air shipper forums.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Satyaki Raghunath, Chief Strategy & Development Officer, said, “BIAL is a regular participant at Air Cargo India Awards and has consistently won multiple accolades over the years. Air Cargo India presents a perfect opportunity for BLR Airport to exhibit its true potential as South India’s preferred cargo hub.”
In his remarks about the growth of the air cargo industry in India, Mr. Raghunath said, “The cargo industry has witnessed remarkable growth, especially over the past 18 months and this trend is poised to continue. BLR Airport is committed to contributing to this development and strengthening India's position as one of the fastest growing cargo markets in the world.”
“Our vision is to expand the cargo infrastructure at BLR Airport to provide a capacity of approx. 1.5 million MT by mid-2030’s. To achieve this, we will continue to develop state-of-the-art infrastructure, introduce market-leading technology, improve operational efficiency and customer service,” he added.
BLR Airport has emerged as the preferred cargo airport in South India. The key factors that led to this transformation include a conducive geographic location, with easy access to all manufacturing hubs in South India and efficient cargo handling infrastructure and investments in digital technology, backed by reputed cargo terminal operators for general, perishable, and express cargo.

The 2020 edition of Air Cargo India had witnessed 2700 visitors, 75 exhibitors and 350 delegates, and we are expecting a higher participation in the upcoming edition.
