Zeal Global Group joins air cargo India as the Platinum Partner for its 8th edition in Mumbai
“air cargo India has become bigger and better with every edition. It has always witnessed participation from international exhibitors, trade visitors and delegates from various countries in large numbers. It is the perfect platform that allows all the participants to engage with one another in an open dialogue. “We are glad to be associating with an event of such stature in the air cargo industry and look forward to a long-term relationship,” says Nipun Anand, Director, Zeal Global Group.
Zeal Global Group is a fast growing general sales agent, representing key global airlines in the Indian sub-continent facilitating cargo movement from Indian shippers to important markets around the world. It has managed to create an impactful impression in the Indian air cargo industry in less than five years of operation. At the air cargo India event, Zeal intends to position its brand strategically to gain maximum visibility.
“India is in a great space currently and is on the verge of making it real big in world economy. The initiative of the government in the last few years has paved the way for increased production in the country of diverse commodities. Lot of these commodities will need effective and efficient airports to thrive. The privatization of some of the airports has seen significantly improved infrastructure and even the government run (Airport Authority of India) are pushing themselves to match the needs of current businesses,” says Anand.
Earlier this year the government of India released a new National Air Cargo Policy which aims to position India among the top five global air freight markets, in addition to building air transhipment hubs at all major Indian airports, by 2025. The policy also has potential to push India’s ranking into the top five markets with Electronic Air Way Bill (e-AWB) penetration. The new policy stated that there will be an integration of domestic and international air cargo network, with the postal network at the village post office level through a common user platform, to provide first and last mile connectivity for air cargo.
“India is also geographically very well positioned and most of the Indian subcontinent and South East Asia are becoming major manufacturing hubs with inadequate air cargo capacity. This is positioning airports in India in a great space to act as a transshipment hub. A few initiatives taken by the regulators in the last 18-24 months are in the right direction and am confident we will soon see India as a choicest air cargo hub in the region,” Anand adds.
